วิลเบอร์ ไรท์ เคยกล่าวไว้ว่า "It is possible to fly without motors, but not without knowledge and skill" (มันเป็นไปได้ที่จะบินโดยไม่มีเครื่องยนต์ แต่เป็นไปไม่ได้หากไม่มีความรู้และความชำนาญ” ส่วนน้องชายออลิลล์ ไรท์ ก็เคยกล่าวไว้ว่า " The airplane stays up because it doesn't have the time to fall" (เครื่องบินสามารถลอยอยู่ในอากาศได้ เพราะมันไม่ตกลงมา)

วันนี้เป็นวันที่ 1 กรกฏาคม 2553 เป็นวันครบรอบ 12 ปีของการก่อตั้งเว็บไซท์ ไทย ไฟลท์ ซิมูเลเตอร์ ผมเชื่อว่ายังมีคนจำได้ และก็เชื่อว่ายังมีอีกมากที่อาจจะลืมไปแล้วว่าสังคมคนรักการบินที่อบอุ่นนี้ เกิดและเติบโตมาได้อย่างไร

ผมเริ่มต้นด้วยคำพูดของสองพี่น้องตระกูลไรท์ ที่เป็นเหมือนกับผู้เริ่มต้นให้กำเนิดการบินในยุคใหม่ ที่คงไม่มีคนรักการบินคนไหนไม่รู้จัก เพื่อจะเน้นย้ำว่า สังคมไทย ไฟลท์ ซิมูเลเตอร์แห่งนี้ ก็มีจุดมุ่งหมายไม่แตกต่างไปจากสิ่งที่พี่น้องตระกูลไรท์ได้กล่าวไว้เมื่อ กว่า 100 ปีมาแล้ว ว่าหากปราศจากซึ่งความรู้และความชำนาญแล้ว ก็คงไม่มีใครที่จะสามารถเป็นนักบินได้ และผมเชื่อว่าสิ่งที่เราได้พยายามรวบรวม สร้างสรรค์ในช่วงหลายปีที่ผ่านมานั้น ก็เพื่อให้สังคมแห่งนี้ เป็นสังคมแห่งการเรียนรู้ เพื่อจะเพาะบ่มความรักในการบิน ควบคู่ไปกับความรู้ความเข้าใจในศาสตร์และศิลป์ของการบินอย่างแท้จริง ไม่ได้เป็นเพียงสังคมของคนเล่นเกมขับเครื่องบิน

ถึงวันนี้ ที่เราเดินทางร่วมกันมา 12 ปี ผมรู้สึกยินดีอย่างยิ่งที่เรายังเติบโต มีสมาชิกมากกว่า 32,000 คน มีการเข้าชมเว็บไซท์เฉลี่ยมากกว่าวันละ 60,000 ครั้ง เป็นเว็บไซท์ด้านการบินจำลอง ที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในภูมิภาคเอเซียแปซิฟิก และยังมีบรรยากาศความอบอุ่นเป็นกันเองเหมือนที่เคยเป็น ถึงแม้จะมีความสนใจที่แตกต่างกันออกไปก็ตาม และในวันนี้ เรามีบทความจากสมาชิก จากทีมงาน มีสนามบินที่มีคุณภาพสำหรับ MSFS มีสมาชิกใหม่ๆ เข้ามามีบทบาทมากขึ้น ช่วยให้สังคมของเรายังเป็นสังคมแห่งการเรียนรู้และเติบโต และผมเชื่อว่าพวกเราทุกคนจะรู้สึกยินดีอย่างมาก เมื่อทราบข่าวว่า สมาชิกของเราหลายๆ คน ได้เดินทางจนถึงฝัน ได้เป็นนักบินสายการบิน หรือนักบินในสายกองทัพ รวมทั้งนักบินในส่วนราชการที่เกี่ยวข้อง และสิ่งเหล่านี้นี่เอง จะทำให้ฝันของไทย ไฟลท์ ซิมูเลเตอร์ ยังมีความเด่นชัด และไม่มีวันตาย

ผมต้องยอมรับว่า บทบาทของตัวผมเองในสังคมการบินแห่งนี้ลดน้อยลงไป โดยเฉพาะในช่วงปีหรือสองปีที่ผ่านมา แต่เราก็ยังมีทีมงานที่เข้มแข็ง มีสมาชิกที่มาช่วยทำงานต่างๆ โดยไม่ได้คาดหวังสิ่งใดตอบแทน เหมือนในงานครบรอบ 12 ปี ไทย ไฟลท์ ซิมูเลเตอร์ที่ผ่านมา ทุกคนทำงานกันอย่างเต็มที่ ด้วยรอยยิ้ม ทำให้สมาชิกใหม่หลายคนรับรู้ได้ว่า นี่คือสังคมที่อบอุ่น และแบ่งปันความรู้กันอย่างแท้จริง ซึ่งผมคงจะต้องขอขอบคุณทีมงานและสมาชิกทุกท่านอีกครั้ง ที่ได้มีส่วนร่วมในการจัดงาน และการดูแลเว็บไซท์ ทั้งทางตรงและทางอ้อมอีกครั้งหนึ่งไว้ ณ ที่นี้ด้วย

และสุดท้ายนี้ ผมในนามของผู้ก่อตั้งเว็บไซท์ไทย ไฟลท์ ซิมูเลเตอร์ ขอขอบคุณสมาชิกทุกคน และโดยเฉพาะทีมงานทุกคนทั้งที่ยังเป็นทีมงานปัจจุบัน และทีมงานในรุ่นก่อนๆ ที่ได้มีบทบาทร่วมกันมาตลอด ในการสร้างและต่อเติมความฝันในการบิน เพื่อสร้างเยาวชนและผู้รักการบิน ที่มีความรู้และความเข้าใจในการบินอย่างแท้จริง และหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่า สังคมไทย ไฟลท์ ซิมูเลเตอร์แห่งนี้ จะยังเป็นบ้านที่อบอุ่นเสมอของพวกเราทุกคนต่อไป

Today is the 1st of July 2010, a twelfth year anniversary of Thai Flight Simulator establishment. As a founder of Thai Flight Simulator, I believe most of us recall this date and I also believe that there are some of us perhaps no longer realized how this unique extended society of flight simulator lovers was originated.

I quoted the Wright’s brothers word , the two Americans who are credited as the inventors of the world's most renowned modern airplane generation. To emphasize on the mission and original purposes of this Thai Flight Simulator society, that’s also similar to the Wright’s quote over 100 years ago "It is possible to fly without motors, but not without knowledge and skill". I truly believe that what we have created over the past years was, and still focus on creating a learning society for the goal of planting cherish able flight simulator experiences. Also educated members the genuine arts and wisdom of flying, not a flying simulator arcade web based.

Today, remarks the twelfth anniversary of our journey. I would like to share this tremendous pleasure that we are still progress and evolve, with over 32,000 members, with more than 60,000 site visits each day, and known as the largest flight simulation society in Asia Pacific region. We still remain close as we once was even though our interests have extended. Currently, we have member’s and crew’s featured article and quality (scenery, and many precious work) for MSFS. Our new member’s participation is also increased, their contribution are valuable to us as the enhancement to our learning society. I believe all of us shared great pleasure to acknowledge that many of our members have conquered their dreams and have become a commercial pilots or Thai Air Force Pilots and other related Thai department’s professional pilots. These are the achievements that will unite us together in this society.

I admit that my roles in this society may have slightly decreased over the past few years, but we have passionate crew who paid a lot of efforts into maintaining our dreams together without payment in return. Recently we had organized 12th year Thai Flight Simulator get together events that filled with joy of working together once again. New member also experienced for the first time that this is a unify society, the one that shares and exchanges knowledge truly with no expectation in returns. I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to all crews and members once again, assisting us in organized the event both directly and indirectly maintain this unify flight simulator community together with their true passion.

Lastly, as the founder of Thai Flight Simulator, I would like to express my appreciation to every member especially the crews both current and in the past, also previous members to the site that have been participated in weaving this vivid dream of flying. The goal is to create learning knowledge society for Thai youths and flying lovers and truly hope to remain a warmth extended flight simulator society for us all in many years to come.
